Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of SimplerScores (the “Service”), a golf scorecard app. By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher) to use the Service.
The Service
SimplerScores lets you record golf rounds, track stats, play with friends, and view an estimated handicap. The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis and may change over time.
Accounts
An account is optional and enables sync and group features. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Provide accurate information when you register.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to disrupt it, access it without authorization, or use it to violate any law or the rights of others.
Your content
You retain ownership of the rounds and data you create. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit that content solely to operate the Service for you — for example, to sync your rounds and to share live scores with players you invite.
Purchases & tips
The Service is free to use. You may choose to leave an optional tip through an in-app purchase, which is billed by the App Store or Google Play under their terms. Tips are voluntary, do not unlock any features, and are generally non-refundable except as required by law or by the app store’s policies. Any refund requests are handled by Apple or Google, not by us.
App stores
If you download the app from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and us only, not Apple, and that Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app, and is not responsible for any product warranties or for addressing any claims relating to the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo and are not on any U.S. government restricted-parties list. If you download the app from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply. Your use of any app store is governed by that store’s own terms.
Course data & handicap estimates
Course information is provided by third-party sources and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Any handicap figure shown is an estimate for your personal use only. It is not an official handicap index and is not affiliated with or certified by the USGA, R&A, or any golf association.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of data.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated or to protect the Service.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
